POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent is responsible for analyzing the financial and operational effectiveness of casino, hotel, marketing and food and beverage operations. Also responsible for performing difficult and complex financial analyses, including the return on investments. Responsible for financial planning policies and procedures. Assists in preparation and analysis of the annual operating budget and capital budgets.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to other employees and coworkers in order to provide superior customer service.

Prepares competitive and operational analysis, financial forecasts and other special projects as requested.

Analyzes complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.

Reviews costs of operation, identifies trends and recommends improvements and cost-savings opportunities with department heads.

Analyzes marketing programs in order to determine the effectiveness of marketing efforts as measured by revenue generated compared to operating cost.

Prepares market share, casino events, labor analysis reports and other reports.

Involvement in various other projects as assigned.

Coordinates and administers Belterra's annual capital and operating budgeting process in order to provide accurate budget information to various departments and the delivery of final budget for company financial planning.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to research, analyze, comprehend, and act upon information and be aware of the business environment in order to effectively manage areas of responsibility
Ability to communicate effectively at all times with all levels of employees
Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation
Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates
Ability to use the equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard
Ability to maintain high confidentiality.
Ability to sit and perform data entry for extended periods of time.
Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Personal and mini-mainframe computer competency required.
Familiarity with current analytic tools required.
Good presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Access.
Strong numerical or statistical aptitude.
Strong technical skills and ability to query and analyze data.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, and three years experience in analysis and/or through the completion of an Associate's Degree, and five years experience in analysis.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
